Forward or Backward? Here’s How to Remember!
In Europe, the clocks change on the last Sunday of October. For 2024, winter time will begin on the night between October 26 and October 27, at 3 AM. At this time, the clocks will be set back one hour. This marks the switch from summer time (Central European Summer Time - CEST or Daylight Saving Time - DST) to winter time (Central European Time - CET).
This change is designed to help Europe use daylight more efficiently. In the Netherlands, this means lighter mornings but darker evenings.
